Cryptosporidium/Giardia Testing

Effective July 23, 2018, Laboratory Alliance of Central New York will no longer perform testing on stool specimens for Cryptosporidium/Giardia in-house. Stool specimens with requests for these tests will be forwarded to our reference laboratory, ARUP.

Specimen requirements remain unchanged.  Results for Cryptosporidium and Giardia will generally be available within 1-3 days.

For ordering convenience, both tests can be requested on the same specimen using order code OAPEIA, test name Crypto Giardia EIA
