Community Service at Ronald McDonald House Charities

Laboratory Alliance employees volunteered at Ronald McDonald House Charities of CNY (RMHC) on Thursday, June 8, 2023. The objective of the RMHC, which is located in Syracuse, is to enable families to practice family-centered care by providing them with all of the basic comforts of home.

Laboratory Alliance volunteers prepared a delicious dinner of ribs, macaroni and cheese, chicken casserole, corn, ham and cheese sandwiches, potatoes and desserts for the guests staying at the RMHC. All food was donated by the volunteers and they also provided small gifts for the guests, including cards, puzzles and coloring items along with some Laboratory Alliance giveaway items. Everyone had a fun evening! Best of all, the meal was greatly appreciated by the families staying at RMHC.  

RMHC provides a temporary home for families with seriously ill children that travel to Syracuse for medical care. While the home cannot make medicine taste better or take away painful treatments, it can help lessen the burden and ensure families have the stability and resources to get and keep their child healthy and happy.
