Collect One 6 mL plain red top tube. Also acceptable: Lavender (EDTA) or pink (K2EDTA) top tubes.
Transport

Separate serum/plasma from cells within 2 hours of collection. 1 mL serum or plasma refrigerated. (Min: 0.5 mL)

Stability After separation from cells: Ambient: 5 days; Refrigerated: 2 weeks; Frozen: 6 months.
Unacceptable Conditions

Whole blood, gel separator tubes, light blue (citrate) or yellow (SPS or ACD solution) top tubes.
