|Stability||TRANSPORT SPECIMEN ON ICE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE; specimen must arrive at laboratory within 60 minutes after collection. Whole blood samples arriving at the laboratory more than 60 minutes after collection will be rejected. If the whole blood sample cannot be transported to the laboratory within 60 minutes, centrifuge sample and transfer plasma to a screw top, polypropylene transport tube. Freeze immediately and transport to the laboratory on dry ice. Once in the laboratory, specimen must be analyzed immediately or stored frozen. Stable 12 hours frozen.|
