Point-of-Care Testing Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with Associate's Degree

Schedule: Full TIme - 2nd Shift

Laboratory Alliance of CNY, the area’s largest provider of laboratory services, seeks a Point-of-Care Testing (POCT) licensed practical nurse (LPN) with an associate's degree to work at our rapid response laboratory.

Responsibilities:

Under the general direction of the POCT manager the POCT LPN utilizes independent judgment, performing all assigned duties for POCT including: monitoring all onsite and off-campus POCT, reviewing patient test results, tracking quality control and quality assurance, assisting with proficiency testing, tracking and documenting performance improvement.

Responsible for instrument troubleshooting and performance checks. Assists in validation and calibration of new POCT methods or instruments. Participates in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards as they relate to POCT. The LPN may be assigned other technical duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Licensed Practical Nurse issued by New York State Department of Education Office of Professions.
