Manager of Transfusion Services

Schedule: Full time

Location: Medical technologist needed to serve as Manager of Transfusion Services to serve as a member of the leadership team with oversight of the daily operations of the Transfusion Services Department at two Syracuse hospital-based Rapid Response Laboratories located at Crouse Hospital and St. Joseph’s Health Hospital.

Candidate must communicate and educate effectively and diplomatically, demonstrate skills and experience as a supervisor and mentor, and be capable of making sound and ethical decisions. The Manager of Transfusion Services must gain and retain the respect and confidence of laboratory peers, senior leadership and present and potential clients while supporting company policies and procedures set forth by Laboratory Alliance, including the company’s mission and vision statements. 

Requirements: 

• Baccalaureate degree in medical technology and a minimum of six years of relevant transfusion services experience
• SBB and management experience preferred.
• The manager must qualify as a medical technologist under NYS Department of Health Regulation Part 58.15 and have a valid New York State license issued by the New York State Department of Education.
